Kyle Strobel

Kyle Strobel is the author of seven books. His expertise is Jonathan Edwards, having written the book Jonathan Edwards’s Theology: A Reinterpretation (T&T Clark, 2013), and Formed for the Glory of God: Learning from the Spiritual Practices of Jonathan Edwards (IVP, 2013). Kyle is particularly interested in recovering a theologically informed spirituality for the evangelical church. His latest books include Where Prayer Becomes Real: How Honesty with God Transforms Your Soul (Baker, 2021) and a Revised and Updated edition of The Way of the Dragon or the Way of the Lamb: Searching for Jesus’ Path of Power in a Church that Has Abandoned It (Thomas Nelson, 2021), co-authored with friend Jamin Goggin.

Kyle has masters degrees in Philosophy and New Testament at Talbot School of Theology, and a PhD in theology from the University of Aberdeen. He currently is associate professor of spiritual theology and formation at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, and teaches in the church on spiritual formation, theology, prayer, and on the nature of power in the Kingdom.
