Jason and Casey Cashell stepped into an extraordinary adventure—purchasing and operating Mayhurst Estate, a historic Victorian Italianate manor in the heart of the Virginia countryside, where they have merged their love for heritage, home, creativity, business, ministry and family into a one-of-a-kind retreat center. Together, they homeschool their four children, teaching them hands-on artisan skills like blacksmithing, woodworking, historical baking, and serving others. Their passion for discipleship has led to the creation of online courses and in-person retreats at Mayhurst, and their love for preserving history and passing down practical skills has led to the creation of Artisan Kids Hub, an initiative dedicated to inspiring young and old to instill character and competence through the wisdom of the past.

Jason has spent over 15 years in pastoral ministry, public speaking, and counseling, dedicating his life to helping others cultivate strong marriages, flourishing families, and a deeper understanding of God’s truth. A gifted communicator, Jason weaves history, biblical wisdom, and practical application into his teaching, whether in the pulpit, at retreats, or around the dinner table at Mayhurst. His life’s work is to inspire men to lead their families with strength and humility and to help people rediscover the richness of faith, family, and tradition.

Casey is a storyteller at heart, a content creator, and a homemaker with a passion for helping others use their God-given stories and homes to impact their families, local communities, and the world. Casey’s warmth and generosity are the soul of Mayhurst. With a genuine passion for hospitality, she makes every guest feel instantly at home, turning strangers into friends and friends into family. She is also the founder of the Instagram Storytellers Academy, where she equips entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners to harness the power of social media—not for fleeting trends, but for eternal impact. With a heart for discipleship and a passion for authentic storytelling, Casey empowers Christians to use their God-given voices to glorify Him, serve others, and build sustainable businesses with integrity.
