Isaac French is an artist, builder, and entrepreneur rooted in faith, family, and hospitality. He grew up on a farm in central Texas, one of ten homeschooled children in an entrepreneurial family. His grandmother taught him to draw, his grandfather to build, and his parents to grow. As a teenager, he started Brush Creek Creamery, an artisan cheese business that has gone on to win numerous national awards, then a craft soda company, before apprenticing in the family construction trade and by 20, running multi-million dollar commercial projects. At 23, he walked away to build his childhood dream.

That became Live Oak Lake – seven Nordic cabins around a lake carved out of five acres of Texas swampland, designed and built largely by hand, that went on to achieve 95% occupancy, a million dollars in first-year revenue, and a $7 million exit just 18 months after opening. His work has grown to include a fully restored 120-year-old railcar stay in the Idaho mountains, a 200-tree regenerative fruit orchard, and a community of thousands of builders, operators, and dreamers making beautiful places around the world.

Isaac creates from his studio, The Nook, and lives on the same farm he grew up on – with his wife Helen and their three children – raising them, like he was raised, with their hands in the soil and their eyes open to the beauty all around.
