Emily Lex is the author and illustrator of Freely and Lightly: God’s Gracious Invitation to a Life of Quiet Confidence (Harvest House, 2021), as well as the children’s picture books Twirl: God Loves You and Created You with Your Own Special Twirl (Harvest House, 2021) and Build: God Loves You and Created You to Build in Your Own Brilliant Way (Harvest House, 2024). She delights in capturing everyday beauty with scratchy pencil sketches and pretty watercolor puddles and offers friendly encouragement through thoughtful words. Her work has been featured in The Magnolia Journal, Better Homes & Gardens, and on HGTV.

Emily lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Ryan, and their four children.
