Macey Merlak is a sourdough bakery owner, content creator, author, and passionate follower of Jesus. As a wife, mother, and creative entrepreneur, she combines her love for baking, biblical truth, and hospitality to encourage women to live gospel-centered lives.

After graduating from Boyce College with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies, Macey launched her home-based sourdough micro bakery in 2023. What began as a few loaves for neighbors quickly grew into a thriving business and online community, where she now shares recipes, tutorials, and two self-published eBooks.

Macey is constantly inspired by the reality that food is a universal love language, an open door to community amongst strangers, and a common ground in a sea of differences. Interwoven with her passion for baking, she feels called to raise the bar for women when it comes to studying God’s Word. In a culture that excuses busy moms from diving deep, Macey believes women should regularly engage both their head and their heart when approaching Scripture. She strives to lead women to ask questions, seek answers, and apply Gospel truth to the heart.

When she isn’t baking or writing, you’ll find her relaxing outside with her husband and young daughters, playing fetch with her golden retriever, cuddling up with her kittens while reading, hyper-fixating on a new crafting skill, sipping a strawberry matcha latte, singing on the worship team at church, or enjoying time with her parents and siblings.
